Sophie and Miles

Well, Lauren and I decided it was about time we share our apartment with two little bundles of fur, so we adopted two baby kittens yesterday. The white one with dirty ear tips, tail, and front paws is a female named Sophie. The tigery one with white belly and paws is a male named Miles. They are brother and sister and are currently 9 weeks old. Click on the image below to see more pictures of them.

Yard work

To keep myself busy (and to earn a little cash on the side) when I’m not hunting for an apartment or doing stuff to make my move to Tucson easier, I’ve been doing yard work around the house. I’ve been quite busy landscaping and building stuff around the yard for the last week or so. To give you an idea of how much work I’ll be doing, we ordered 4.5 tons of rock, 3 tons of mulch, and another ton of dirt for various projects around the yard.

Nala

My parents go on walk/runs a few times a week and, on one of the last times they went, they found a little kitten crying just off the road in the woods. The kitten, who they later named Nala after the female lion in the Lion King, started following them as they walked down the street. Being the good neighbors they are, they went door to door looking for the kitten’s owner, but couldn’t find anyone who wanted the cat. The original plan was to put the kitten up for adoption, but most of the family (including myself when I went home to see the kitten last weekend) fell in love with the little cutie, so, for now at least, we are keeping her. Here are a few pictures :

Isn’t she cute? You can find more pictures of her in my Gallery in the Family section under Pets.

Bermuda Pictures Finally Uploaded

A few weeks back, my web host switched to another server facility. The switch left a few things not working perfectly on my web site, but they were easily fixed. After finally getting my gallery to allow uploads and image compression, I’ve uploaded all of my pictures from my trip to Bermuda. You don’t have to be logged in to see them, but registering is encouraged. They are in the “Family and Friends” album of the gallery under the “Bermuda 2004” subalbum. Enjoy!
