Gas Prices Recently

November 7th has come and gone. For a number of weeks leading up to that date, gas prices were steadily decreasing to around their recent low of $2.06 a gallon (in Tucson, AZ) and held there for the better part of the last month. Interestingly, after the election, the gas prices at many places around town have now been increasing and are about $.10 more expensive than they were a week ago.

As the trend started going downward from the cost of $2.50 a gallon a couple of months ago, I suspected that the oil companies were trying to throw a little help to the Republican party in the form of taking people’s minds off of the high cost of gas. I don’t have any proof to back this up, but it’s just a hunch. It wouldn’t surprise me, however, if the prices return to the mid two dollars per gallon before long. Now, lets wait and see if I’m a touch crazy in thinking this or if it actually happens.

Never Forget…

Tribute in Light

Always keep September 11th in your mind… It will serve as the light that will hopefully guide the world out of the darkness of hate, terrorism, and ignorance.

Having grown up within visual range of NYC and having my area of NJ devistated with heavy losses on that grave day, this is an emotional and hard time of the year. I can only hope that others through American and the world take the events of September 11th, 2001 to heart and realize how much of an impact we all have on each other.

One years old already!

Yesterday, our kittens Sophie and Miles turned one!! We adopted them when they were 9 weeks old, so we approximated the date a touch, but are prety sure it was one year ago yesterday the little scamps were born. They’ve been such a joy to have around and have, since day one, been the most affectionate and loving little guys I could have asked for.

In honor of their birthday, we, naturally, spoiled them rotten; Lauren let them have milk (Sophie tried it, but Miles didn’t even attempt to give it a shot), we bought them a jungle-gym thingy (pictures to come), two new bouncy toys since they destroyed both of the last ones, and moved them up to adult food (which they both liked without any issues, interestingly).

I’ll post some updated pictures soon (the batteries in my camera died, so I couldn’t take any pictures until they were charged up again).

We got some fish for our tank yesterday

Our Fishtank

In total, we purchased 7 fish for our tank: 4 Neon Tetra, 2 Silver Mollies, and 1 Zebra Mollie. We still have more room in the tank for some other fish, but have to wait a while before getting them so that our tank can adjust and get the bacteria levels working correctly. We were thinking about getting Angel Fish, but are not 100% set on what our next ones will be.

State of the AZ Address…

Well… it’s been a while since I’ve put an update on my site that states what’s been going on in my and Lauren’s lives around here in Tucson, so here it is…
