How data fusion, cross-site information distribution, and XML are changing the web
As seen on Face’s Blog and Sam’s Blog and originally found on The Long Trail, this movie tells the full power of sharing information as well as how the innovations in the web enable more dynamic uses of the information.
I’ve only done a little dabbling with cross-site integration (enabling my flickr photos to be viewed on my site as well as reading the rss feeds on bloglines), but it’s quite a powerful use of information and provides for quite a useful way of putting information into a more usable format.
Technologies like this are making the web truly free in that it’s information can now be shaped and crafted into whatever form the person using the information wants.
